Good Companions is a Sunday rambling club based in Sheffield. We have a programme of walks of about 9 – 12 miles each Sunday.

We’re lucky in Sheffield to have the Peak District on our doorstep – in fact 1/3rd of Sheffield’s area is in the Peak District – so we have great walks very close by. 

Nearly all our walks are by public transport so we really are open to all. We share cars a couple of times a year to get a bit further afield.  We also share lifts to a hostelling weekend once a year.

We have 3 coach trips each year.  We are affiliated to the Ramblers Association and our coach trips are shared with the Sheffield branch of the RA.  There are usually 2 walks available of approximately 8/9 and 11/12 miles.

We like to think we are a friendly club – so why not give us a try? You are quite welcome to join us a couple of times to see if you like us – and if you do decide to join our annual sub is just £4.
